When coronavirus turns home into an office

The spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus (first detected in Wuhan, China last year) around the world has caused a pandemic and shaken our lives to the core. Many things we took for granted are now gone – morning coffee with a newspaper in our favorite office, Sunday family lunches with loved ones in crowded restaurants.

The spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus (first reported in Wuhan, China last year) around the world has caused a pandemic and shaken our lives to the core. Many things we took for granted are now gone – morning coffee with a newspaper in our favorite office, Sunday family lunches with loved ones in crowded restaurants, midnight celebrations with friends, business meetings, seminars, travel, photos from the squares of major European cities… the warm embrace of the people in our lives, the extended hand, the pat on the shoulder, the opportunity to see the smile of the people next to you, not the expressionless mask.

The virus took all of that away, leaving us with only one path to salvation – self-isolation, total and merciless. But mandatory! In the name of saving human lives!

These special times for humanity cannot fail to remain in history and be studied in years to come, like the coronavirus pandemic that changed the world, and perhaps like the virus that taught people what is truly valuable in life and how to survive in an unequal battle with an invisible enemy.

Until then, however, we have a long way to go, managing to preserve as much of our economy as we can without putting a single person at risk. So that humanity can survive when the great evil is gone...

Business in the context of the coronavirus pandemic

Business, quite naturally, was not spared by the emergency situation and was forced to largely halt its progress. Closed offices, empty hotels, theaters and cinemas, sadly lowered shutters of restaurants, deserted, ghostly streets.

And yet, some areas have been spared – copywriting, online commerce, some freelancers… in general, any activity that can be carried out from home security is moving forward. For now.

Those who can be flexible, move the office to their armchair, and move their business entirely online will continue to work. It's up to us to be among those who will continue without putting people's health at risk.

Copywriting services are independent of time and place. Independent of logistics and business offices. Independent of… everything, except the internet. Because in fact, copywriting services are only what copywriters carry within themselves – ideas and creative potential . Because they are based solely on human resources and once again show how important and how at the heart of everything is the person.

Of course, not everything is so rosy, because copywriting services also depend on the businesses for which content is created. And if they do not flourish in the conditions of coronavirus, it is logical that this will also have an impact on our work. But copywriting is needed mainly for online businesses, which, in times of pandemic, brings a bit more security – both for the sustainability of the activity and for the safety of the people who carry it out. Because, as we mentioned, you only need three things – a computer, the Internet and inspiration.

Benefits and shared recommendations for working from home

If you have decided to move your work to your home office in the interest of public safety, we will take the liberty of giving you some important guidelines to help you adjust. We will talk about the advantages and why working from home is not so scary.

  • Working from home does not mean no working hours . It is important that at least part of it coincides with normal working hours in Bulgaria, so that you can communicate – calls and emails – with those with whom it is necessary;
  • Turn off the TV . Distractions will reduce your productivity;
  • Ensure online banking and electronic invoices . It is not justified to work from home, but to run to the bank and couriers to exchange documents;
  • A computer, printer, and scanner are not luxuries , but an absolute necessity to replace your office with the couch.
The home office also has unexpected advantages:
  • Ability to work in pajamas , without pajamas or however you want;
  • Neither clients nor colleagues will interrupt your work with a knock on the door;
  • You can work during the hours you feel most productive . Do you love the night and find it inspiring? Work under the stars;
  • You don't need to get up early and, juggling a coffee cup and toothbrush, race against time to catch the subway;
  • You save time. The time you would spend preparing for work and traveling to and from it;
  • You learn how strong you really are and how you seek and find a way out of any situation.

We continue to write for you and believe that soon, when we have learned our lesson taught by the current coronavirus, we will be able to greet each other in person and return to those normal human everyday joys that we have taken for granted.

Until then, we look forward to hearing from you by phone and email. Take care and stay healthy!
