TikTok is a preferred search engine for useful content among Generation Z (and beyond). Hence, it is an increasingly important marketing tool for businesses. To be ready to respond to the demands of an increasingly broad target group, it is important to optimize your profile on the platform.

That's why from TikTok agency At CopyVibes, we've collected seven tips for a perfectly optimized business profile on the platform that has conquered the world.

Selection of relevant keywords and hashtags

The term TikTok SEO has been making waves in the digital world lately, and for good reason. The main keywords and phrases for your niche should be part of your post description, bio section (as will become clear below), and hashtags.

The texts in the videos themselves are also important for the platform, respectively for better optimization of your business profile. It is important that important keywords and phrases are present there as well.

However, when creating texts for TikTok videos, it is important to follow the basic rule – they should be written for users, not search engines. In other words, the use of keywords and hashtags should not be at the expense of meaningless and difficult-to-understand text for the audience. The length of the texts and the number of hashtags should not be excessive.

Posting frequency and audience engagement

Effective interaction between businesses and consumers, and specifically their engagement, has been a key goal of digital marketing for a long time, and TikTok has proven it once again. A key factor in whether your account will become popular with your audience is its ability to engage them.

In this line of thought, the content plays a decisive role, which should arouse interest in the first 2-3 seconds, retain it, and ultimately motivate people to comment. ripostnat etc. The frequency of content publishing has an influence here, of course – the more often it is done, the more likely you are to be noticed.

Pin the most attractive videos that represent your business at the top.

TikTok allows you to pin up to three videos to the top of your profile. Using the so-called pin feature, users who come to your profile see them first, regardless of when they were posted in time.

Our advice here is to choose the most engaging and/or informative videos that will motivate your audience to subscribe or view your content. You also have the option to change the videos you upload over time to diversify your page regularly.

Pinned videos are an optimal option for advertising an ongoing campaign on TikTok, such as introducing a new product line, a set of services, and other activities, along these lines.

Collaborations with other TikTok content creators

TikTok is primarily an entertainment platform and this should be seen as an opportunity for your business. The platform allows for content creation with other users. This, in turn, “tells” its algorithm that this type of content is worthwhile and should be shown to more people.

What's more, collaborations with other creators on the platform help exchange audiences between one profile and another, something that is highly valued and results in higher viewership.

Create a short, engaging bio that informs

The bio is the other visible part of your TikTok profile. Just like on Instagram , here you can present short and clear information about the nature of your business, the categories of products and/or services you offer. In other words, this is where you should put the information that you consider important and want to share with the people who come across your profile.

The section is suitable for including additional key phrases that will help the search process on the platform. It is a popular practice, if of course the business activity allows it, to use emojis. They attract attention and look good in the text. Do not forget that here too you have a limit of 80 characters. You can end with a CTA (call-to-action) element.

Use a representative profile photo

The profile picture is one of the key points when it comes to a TikTok profile. While the focus is on the content you post, your profile picture is not to be underestimated. Choose it carefully.

It is good practice to place the business logo here, on a contrasting background. It is important that it is easily readable. You can also put the face of a person representing the business, in case he is well known among the audience, for example.

Don't forget to add a link to your website

This option is available when the account reaches 1000 followers, but it is also one of the key ones if it is a TikTok business account. The link to the business website is clickable. This allows for effective targeting of traffic to the website and/or online store.

The active link is positioned just below the bio section, which favors ending it with a call to action. This, in turn, can be related to visiting the online store to purchase a product and/or a website to request a service, more information, and more.

By choosing TikTok agency, specializing in offering support and video creation services, you can get the most out of the platform for your business.
